Extreme Makeover - Fairbanks Edition!
We love a good before and after! We're grateful to have been a part of this collaboration with Safe Families for Children Fairbanks to elevate the visitation rooms at the Fairbanks OCS office.
The vision
When we first walked into these rooms, it was clear that they needed some TLC. Thinking of parents trying to bond with their kids in a not-so-conducive space wasn’t what we wanted for families in our community facing crises. We knew we could play a small part in offering a warm and welcoming space for these parents and kids. So, that’s what we did.
The “Alaska” Room
We got to paint the walls and the talented Jodi Mueller of Memoir Photography added the lovely mural to the Radiant Church Fairbanks Alaska themed room.
The “Finding Nemo” Room
The second room we got to paint was put together and designed by the amazing folks over at True North Church. They went with a super fun and colorful Finding Nemo theme. Isn’t the transformation amazing!?
At the end of the day, nothing feels quite as good as giving back to our community. We’re setting out to prove that a little paint on the wall and a freshened up space can help families connect and communities come together.
